Melanchthon's Doctrinal Compromises
Abstract
Martin Luther often spoke well of Philip Melanchthon. They were cohorts in the battle against Rome. However, Melanchthon was not always the steadfast and unflinching follower of Luther. As he got older, he made mistakes. The author presents the historical background to Melanchthon’s compromises. As the problems and persecutors increased so did his willingness to compromise the truth.
