    Abstract
Prof. Brug examines the biblical teaching of sanctification via an analysis of the book Christian Spirituality: Five Views of Sanctification. First, he takes a broad look at the basic aspects of sanctification as they are presented by Scripture. Next Brug discusses the teachings of other Christian denominations as they are represented in this book: Reformed (Calvinist), Wesleyan/Arminian, Pentecostal, Contemplative/Mystic, and Liberal Lutheran. Throughout the essay Brug provides many practical insights and suggestions about the meaning of the doctrine of sanctification in the life of the believer.
