dc.description.abstract | This article serves as an introduction to a series of exegetical articles of the chief passages of Scripture
which deal with "ministry." What are the main problem areas and disputed issues? What is the status of the
controversy between the so-called Wisconsin Synod and Missouri Synod views of church and ministry?
Professor Brug explores some of the issues touching on questions of what the word "minister" and "ministry" means, distinctions between public ministry and the ministry of the Apostles, women serving in the gospel ministry, and the priesthood of all believers.
He uses Marquardt's and Preus' works to highlight LCMS views. | |
