    Abstract
This paper explores the topic of hospitality, specifically a hospitality ministry with a heart for the immigrant experience. This paper attempts to answer how the church can best serve these people and open doors for the gospel to work in their hearts. It is important to note that the scope of this paper will be limited to first-generation immigrants. The needs of the first generation will be vastly different from those of second and third-generation immigrants as families become more integrated. The paper will demonstrate the need for this work rooted in both the Old and New Testaments. It will take practical lessons from pastors doing this kind of work in Canada and the United States. Finally, it will encourage pastors and congregations who see the needs of immigrants in their communities and want to help but may not know where to start.
