dc.description.abstract“Love your neighbor as yourself” (Mark 12:31 NIV). What does it look like as Christians live out this command from Jesus? This paper looks at the importance of building relationships and loving our neighbors. Now, more than ever, it is important for Christian churches to build relationships with those in their community. Building relationships requires time, something that most Americans do not have a lot of, but time spent building relationships and connecting with the community is time well spent. Working to build relationships presents many opportunities to show Christian love to those around us, and it provides many opportunities to bring Jesus to people in a time where most people are no longer going to church.en_US
