dc.description.abstractGod has called us to communicate the saving truths of his Word to others. He has tasked us not merely to impart knowledge and facts but to lead our students to obey, observe, keep, fulfill, and pay attention to everything he has commanded. This requires the teachers to understand their students. Confirmation students undergo physical, social, intellectual, and emotional changes. Understanding this background information allows teachers to create the best-suited lessons for their students. They would then combine this information with the seven laws of teaching as proposed by John Milton Gregory. These laws describe the qualifications teachers need to possess, methodologies that can communicate the teaching materials, and the expected outcomes for the students. The teacher utilizes various teaching methods—teacher-to-pupil, pupil-to-teacher, teacher-with-pupil, group activity, and non-classroom activity—to effectively train students in Scripture. God has given us Jesus as the perfect example of a teacher who utilizes many methods to teach clearly and with authority. God has given this task to pastors to communicate the Scripture with value and practical applications, looking to Jesus as our model to witness the truths of salvation.en_US
