    Abstract
Missouri Synod layman, Marcus Braun examines the concept of “truth” from both ‘conservative’ and ‘liberal’ perspectives and encourages the reader toward a more moderate approach. Beginning with a philosophical definition, continuing on to look at the moral relativism that resulted from rationalistic and Darwinian philosophy, and then incorporating how this same concept entered religious circles through a “theology of doubt.” His focus is on the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod, but the message applies to any body of believers considering a move away from biblical inerrancy.
