A History of the WELS' Mission to the Poor in the United States

Abstract

Through numerous interviews, the author explores the history of WELS missions to the poor among the Apache; St. Marcus, Milwaukee including ministries on the Northside and Southside of Milwaukee; Peace Lutheran in New York City; La Ladrillera in Mexico; congregations in Crandon and Antigo, Wisconsin, Cordero de Dios in Miami and "Project Share" in Bay City, Michigan.
