dc.description.abstract | Outward unions in the Church are theoretically a matter neither commanded nor prohibited by God in Scriptures. Where proper conditions are present, such unions should be encouraged to reflect the unity of the true invisible Church, to advance the general cause of the Gospel. But without unity in faith, no union; even where such unity exists, practical considerations may cause outward union to become undesirable. | |
