The Christian Church has given much attention to the topic of demon possession throughout its history. But there are some Christians who continue to face other forms of demonic activity, particularly within their homes. This essay is not an exhaustive handbook for addressing demonic poltergeist activity; rather, it attempts to orient afflicted Christians to biblical truths about the spiritual world. Prayerful action and thoughtful caution is needed when seeking to rid a home of poltergeist activity, yet the Christian finds unmatched comfort in the person of Jesus Christ, his work, and his power. The forgiveness God brings to each person through Jesus Christ in Word and sacrament provides relief for demonic activity. Though ridding a home of demonic activity may be a process (not necessarily a singular event) the eternal salvation and identity of each afflicted Christian has and will remain completely secure by the divine power and unbounded love of our triune Creator-God.en_US
