    Abstract
Peter Berg presented this essay which focuses both on the intrinsic complexity and yet simple (not simplistic) nature of ministry. He uses biblical proofs to show how the Bible supports this understanding of ministry (both representative and universal) and uses the witness of such men as Herman Sasse and Martin Luther to further bolster his points. He shows how the ministry is at the same time the “incarnation of Christ” and “foolishness” and how balancing our understanding of these two concepts can solidify our understanding of what ministry really is.
