    Abstract
C.F.W. Walther gives a number of suggestions for beneficial reading of Luther’s work. He stresses the importance of knowing Luther’s unique role in history and shows Luther’s fame through many quotations of Luther’s contemporaries. He warns that a reader of Luther needs to note when Luther wrote the item he is reading and to watch out for the Luther items that were quickly copied down. Among other things, Walther gives an extensive list of suggested readings and encourages all to read something of Luther every day.
