    Abstract
How does Paul’s encouragement to “overcome evil with good” align with “heaping coals on someone’s head”? Professor Zell examines the evidence and the different interpretations for this passage in Romans and shows how it conveys a good way to love one’s enemy—by making them conscience of their actions.
