Election: Article Four of the Common Confession

Abstract

The times surrounding the Election controversy were stressful. For almost three quarters of a century the controversy raged. Synods were split and relationships were tattered. Nearing the end of this period, WELS had to carefully examine documents that were being produced by sources from all sides of the controversy. This brief review judges the accuracy of the portion about election from the Common Confession.
