    Abstract
Professor Gurgel makes a strong point for preaching honestly: that is, preaching the Law in undiluted fashion, so it may do its work of convicting sinners of their sin. The heart slain by the Law is aware of its need for a Savior, and is prepared to receive the gospel message of salvation. Preaching the Law in such a fashion can only be done by a preacher who has first been slain himself.
