    Abstract
In this essay the author’s love for the seminary grounds comes through. The author explains how the Indians would have very likely either made these grounds their residence or at least walked and hunted them. The author then moves on to the first official owner of the Mequon site’s grounds, John Willet. From there he makes use of primary sources to show the bounty of the land and shows how the ownership changed hands until it was bought for the purpose of building the seminary.
