    Abstract
While women are subordinate to men, this subordination is commonly misunderstood. Subordination describes a person’s role, not their quality. God made clear through the order of creation the relationship men and women were to have to each other. Man was created first and God created woman as a helper. The order of creation has many applications in the areas of family and secular society. Men can fail to lead or be tyrannical rulers. There are abounding applications in the family of believers. What is woman’s role in the church? What can she do as she serves in the church? Not only does Gawrisch touch on these topics but he also includes a series of objections with answers to them.
