    Abstract
Many Christological heresies find their roots in the ancient church, whether it is the teachings of the Ebionites from the first century or the Dynamic Monarchians from the third century. Though these false teachings may begin in the ancient church, they still manifest themselves in new ways throughout the centuries. The teachings can still target Christ’s divinity as some modern day Calvinists do or his humanity as those who profess the historical Jesus do. In each case Gawrisch defends biblical Christology, by demonstrating Christ’s work to save the world and the Christocentric message of the Bible.
