Presented to the Nebraska District Pastoral Conference at Trinity Lutheran Church Winner, SD April 20-21, 1993.en_US
Pastor Traudt’s reader will certainly appreciate the importance and joy he places on sermon preparation and delivery. After reaffirming this truth in his introduction, Traudt provides a deep overview of what it takes to write a good sermon. Traudt emphasizes especially the importance of being Christ-centered, and he reviews all the steps leading up to the writing of a sermon. At this point, when Traudt gets to the sermon writing itself, he specifically begins to treat the three emphases of his title. All in all, Traudt presents his reader with a useful review of some basic sermon principles that one might easily be forgotten.
