    Abstract
Galatians can rightly be called the charter of Christian liberty. This epistle demonstrates that as Christians we have liberty in Christ. In view of the book’s theme, the connection between Galatians and Article X of the Formula of Concord suddenly becomes apparent. Article X defends the church from any attempt which attempts to restrict it from employing adiaphora. Gawrisch opens with the history behind Article X and then deftly moves into his sermon study. He even offers his fellow homileticians a sermon introduction and outline.
