Ecumenism can be tempting, especially when the people in the world around us are trying to find common ground even at the lowest common denominator. Church bodies have fallen victim to the lure of false ecumenism by altering their stance on fellowship. Granted we enjoy an unseen unity as members of the Holy Christian Church, but while on earth, where we can only judge people by their confession, Scripture calls for doctrinal unity. Scripture does not forbid us to cooperate in areas that are outside of confession of faith, but it does teach a unit concept of fellowship.en_US
