    Abstract
The content of repentance really has not changed since the time of Jesus, however there are many deep misunderstandings concerning what repentance is and is not. There is a wide difference in meaning between the English word and the Greek word. Throughout the book of Acts, from Pentecost to Paul’s journeys, the message of repentance is proclaimed. Just as in the ancient church repentance plays a role in the church today. In repentance, faith in our Savior is kindled in the heart. Contrition and repentance are always worked by God.
