I. In the first of a three-part series on world mission workers the key word is flexibility. The situations for national pastors across the world is so diverse that there cannot be only one way to instruct and train national pastors, who come from various backgrounds and have various abilities. Each beginning mission needs to be analyzed, planned, and carried out according to its own specific needs and goals.
Essman, Harold
II. The second essay builds off the foundation of the first. The proper flexibility will impact what kind of courses will be beneficial for national workers who are “widely scattered.” Essman’s objective is to offer ways to instruct national pastors in their context while not ripping them away from their mission for long periods of time.
Johne, Harold
III. The third installment gives a few brief answers to the question of how to help strengthen national ministers in a setting which has “come of age.” The author highlights some areas and includes brief personal opinions.
