    Abstract
Ministry was, is, and will be about service. That service can take many forms. The public ministry, which was set up by God so that he might call workers into his harvest field, is one form. Yet that is not the only form of service or ministry. This paper shows the doctrinal basis for lay ministry, which focuses on the importance of getting many people involved in the work of ministry.
