    Abstract
There are some who see the doctrine of fellowship as the defining doctrine of the Wisconsin Synod. If it does define us, then it is only because God has laid out fellowship principles in his word so as to protect his people from false doctrine. The doctrine of fellowship is not a list of laws of which we can test the limits. The doctrine of fellowship is intended to create unity in the church, which can be seen from church history. This paper are answers the question, “Where does unionism begin?” and gives a list of objections to this doctrine with evangelical reactions.
