    Abstract
Though there has not been much written on the doctrine of offense, it is not an obscure doctrine. The idea of offense is found in both the Old and New Testament, and Dobberstein offers an overview of the word usages. Dobberstein shows that the doctrine of offense applies to three areas: teaching, actions, and adiaphora.
