    Abstract
Daniel Deutschlander offers in this presentation on the Western Rite that worship begins with a proper attitude on the part of the parishioners and their pastor–the focus must always be on Christ and the Means of Grace. The bulk of his paper is his examination of the major parts of the liturgy, from the perspective of a man who claims a “50-year love affair” with the liturgy. In his conclusion, he asks: “how could anyone think of this worship as boring or tedious or irrelevant?”
