    Abstract
Marriage is a life long union between one man and one woman instituted by God himself. It is a union that isn’t to be broken by man. Divorce on the other hand is the breaking of that marriage union, something that God says he hates. So is it wrong then for a married couple to get a divorce? John Covach does a fine job of explaining God’s view of divorce as detailed in the scriptures. He gives the two scriptural grounds for a Christian to obtain a divorce, and then works through the passages that focus on remarriage for the divorcees.
