As a leader in the congregation, a pastor will always want to enable his members to succeed in whatever area of service they are functioning. This is especially true of training a congregation’s elders. An elder doesn’t have the same depth of training as a pastor does, and so it is the job of a pastor to set these men up to succeed in the tasks that they will be carrying out. Clement provides many helpful scriptural passages, analogies, and quotes from pastors, which will enhance the arsenal of an elder when dealing with issues of delinquents and excommunication.en_US
